Most of the "mujahideen" factions run their own newspapers and radio stations, which follow the party line and denigrate rivals. The BBC, which broadcasts in Pashtu and Dari, is more popular than Radio Free Afghanistan, especially for its soap operas. These convey information on issues such as health care and the disposal of land mines.
